University of Bath Tops Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey
10 April 2015
The University of Bath was the big winner of the 2015 Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey as it narrowly beat out the University of Sheffield, who finished top in last year’s standings. The survey rates UK universities across 21 categories, including quality of staff, facilities and industry connections, with an overall score being awarded for each institution.
Loughborough enjoyed one of the biggest rises, as it moved from 11th to second thanks to strong performances in the areas of sports facilities, teaching facilities and its student union. Rob Whittaker, president of Loughborough Students’ Union, said: “People always think about sport when you mention Loughborough, but it’s our achievements in other areas that is really important for providing an excellent student experience.”
The University of Surrey, in joint sixth place, is one of the most improved universities for student satisfaction, rising 28 places.
